Will I have to sign up every month to continue to get access?
No – the PayPal subscription is a recurring payment. It means that PayPal will take your subscription fee automatically every month, unless you specifically choose the 1 year non-automatic option.
I’ve signed up, but haven’t received my username and password – what’s going on?!
Please make sure you check your spam/junk folder. Whilst spam filters are great, they sometimes assume all automatically generated emails are spam. If your email still isn’t there, you may have entered your email incorrectly on the system. Simply contact us with your username using the form at the bottom of the page and we’ll look into it for you.
My PayPal payment failed and I’ve been locked out! HELP!!!
Don’t worry… The most common reason for a payment failure is that your debit card details in PayPal are out of date. All you’ll need to do is log in at PayPal, and update your details. As a matter of course, PayPal will attempt to take payment on three occasions. The first on your normal monthly renewal date, the second a couple of days after the first failure, and then for a third and last time around seven days after that.
If the third attempt fails, PayPal will automatically cancel your subscription. If you want to resubscribe, or need more help, please use the contact form at the bottom of the page and we’ll do our best to help.
How do I add an avatar to my username so they appear with my comments?
The WordPress software uses a service called ‘Gravatar’. When you register your email address on Gravatar and upload a picture, your chosen picture will appear next to your username at any site you register with that uses the Gravatar system. Here’s the link so you can set up your own Gravatar: http://gravatar.com/

The website and wording is too big / too small! How do I change the size?
This is a common problem these days because if the huge amount of different screen sizes and setups, not to mention the many different screen resolutions available too! Then, each different web browser tends to display sites in completely different ways too. It makes trying to get a website to be consistent on all these different systems a nightmare.
Thankfully, on most web browsers, you can increase or decrease the size of a website by pressing the CTRL button and either the plus ‘+’ button (to enlarge) or the minus ‘-’ button together. The more you press the buttons together, the bigger or smaller the screen gets inside your browser.
Can you cancel my PayPal subscription?
The short answer is no… but there’s a good reason for that. By using PayPal, we don’t see any of your payment details – and so we don’t have access to your payment details. That’s brilliant for your security. The actual subscription itself is handled and controlled by PayPal. So, if you need to cancel your subscription, all you need to do is log in to PayPal and cancel the subscription in there. Simply find the payment in your PayPal History, click on the details of that payment and you should be able to cancel from there.
Where does all this advice come from?
We’ve been working with rescue dogs of all breeds (but especially Collies) for the last 15 years. We’ve given behavioural advice both in person and on the phone. We’ve worked with over 3,000 dogs in person, and estimate we’ve given advice to more than double that number on the phone. All advice on the site is from real, practical experience.
If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here, then you can contact us by simply filling in the following contact form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we possibly can.
The email is manned by a real human being so if you send an email in the middle of the night, you’re not going to get an instant reply – but rest assured, as soon as we see your email, we’ll reply to it as soon as possible. Please remember to include a short description of the problem you’re having and your username.
If you don’t include your username, all we can do is reply asking you for your username before we can help you!
